2008 Teacher Training Schedule
Astanga Primary Series Training (40 hours) February 16-February 22
Adjustments, modifications and O2 Yoga's method of presenting the Astanga sequence in an approachable and accessible way for students of all levels and abilities.
Astanga Second Series Adjustments Training (10 hours) February 23-February 24
Hands-on practicum on the adjustments to the poses of the Second Series of Astanga Yoga.
Yoga Philosophy and Energy of Yoga (10 hours) March 22-March 23
Philosophy discussion on yoga texts and the basics of traditional yogic theory as well as discussion of chakras and nadis.
O2 Yoga Level I Training (40 hours) April 14-April 20
The fundamentals of O2 Yoga, including philosophy, sequencing, adjusments and anatomy.
Modifications for Injury and Pregnancy (10 hours) May 31-June 1
Focus on modifying postures and working with students with individual needs including: pregnancy, injury or a special physical/medical condition.
O2 Yoga Level II Training (40 hours) June 21-June 27
The science and art of sequencing postures with attention to building poses in stages for various levels of students. Also includes anatomy, injury prevention, posture modifications and philosophy.
Teaching Advanced Postures (10 hours) June 28-June 29
Challenge beginning to advanced students to approach more complex postures in a safe and successful manner.
