We will work on freeing energy in the spine through emphasis on deep twisting, backbends, and inversions. This fun class will surely be a joyful way to spend your Valentine’s afternoon! Karen will introduce you to some wonderfully effective ways to experience yoga with a partner. Partner asana is playful, challenging, and relaxing. Class will begin with a simple seated meditation practice and then go into a strong & fun partner sequence. The goal of this workshop is to demystify Ashtanga Primary Series postures for those new to the series as well as experienced Ashtanga practitioners looking for a fresh perspective. Not every posture will be broken down, so attendance is recommended for those that have a regular yoga practice (2-3x/weekly). Ideal for those interested in our 200-Hour Teacher Training program.

Join Elliott & Lynne and practice the Second Series of aṣtanga yoga. This practice builds on the work in our regular Primary Series classes, but focuses more on backbending and hip opening, with some fun inversions, dynamic jumping postures, and of course the 7 headstands. Like yoga, no one is “bad” at mediation. You do by practice! Join Karen “Shanti” Caiazzo Thursday nights at 6:30 pm for a 30-minute sit. We will practice breathing techniques, mantra, and open-eye meditation. Appropriate for beginners and seasoned meditators.
