Yoga for Birth and Labor  

Join Devon for this in-depth practice that expands upon the weekly prenatal class.  Breathing techniques and a guided meditation will follow our asana practice. Bring a partner, spouse or a buddy. Appropriate for all levels and all trimesters of pregnancy.

Yoga Clinic for Runners  

This all-levels Vinyasa practice with Devon will focus on balancing strength & flexibility in the hips, quads, glutes, hamstrings and IT band. We’ll stretch the shins and do exercises for plantar fasciitis.  Of course, you don’t have to be training for a marathon to come. All athletes welcome.

Breakdown the Primary Series of Astanga  

The goal of this workshop is to demystify Ashtanga Primary Series postures for those new to the series as well as experienced Ashtanga practitioners looking for a fresh perspective. Not every posture will be broken down, so attendance is recommended for those that have a regular yoga practice (2-3x/weekly).

Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga  

Prenatal yoga is a balanced class especially designed for you during your pregnancy year. Appropriate for beginning and experienced yoginis.

Prenatal:  Somerville – 7pm Sunday nights with Barrett; Cambridge – 5:45pm Wednesday nights with Devon.
Postnatal (for mommies with infants prior to crawling): Cambridge – 2:00pm Mondays with Devon and Thursdays with Barrett; Somerville – 10am Fridays with Devon

Astanga 2nd Series  

Join Elliott & Lynne and practice the Second Series of aṣtanga yoga. This practice builds on the work in our regular Primary Series classes, but focuses more on backbending and hip opening, with some fun inversions, dynamic jumping postures, and of course the 7 headstands. Second Series classes are held on the final week of the month, in place of the regular aṣtanga classes at those times.  Check the schedule here for more info. Cambridge and Somerville!

Weekly Meditation in Cambridge  

Like yoga, no one is “bad” at mediation. You do by practice! Join Karen “Shanti” Caiazzo Thursday nights at 6:30 pm for a 30-minute sit. We will practice breathing techniques, mantra, and open-eye meditation.   Appropriate for beginners and seasoned meditators.
